Purchasing tiles not only increases the aesthetic appearance of your home, but should also be seen as an investment as they can add significant value to your home.

Before you buy tiles for your home improvement project, give thought to the colour and the mood you want to create, but also the type of tile you want to use. We have a range of products available to suit all tastes and purposes.  Consideration should be given to which product suits your project best, and our sales team will be more than happy to assist you in making the right selection.

Our range of products includes:

Ceramic Tiles - This product is made of a ceramic body with a glaze applied to the surface.  It is suitable for walls and floors, however porcelain tiles are quickly becoming a favourite, particularly for floor areas as they can withstand heavy traffic better than ceramics.

Porcelain Tiles - This product is frost resistant and very hard wearing.  Due to the way they are manufactured, they are the same colour the whole way through the tile which means that they are more durable.  We would recommend that polished porcelain tiles be sealed as the polishing process opens up the pores more than non-polished porcelain, leaving them more susceptable to staining.  Polished porcelain tiles should be cleaned and sealed as soon as they are laid to prevent dirt and/or stains being sealed into the tile. Any non-polished porcelain tile requires no treatment.

Floor tiles can be used on the floor and the walls.  Using the same tile in both areas creates a contemporary uniformed look, and in smaller areas can create a feeling of space.

Wall tiles can not be used on floors in the majority of cases.

Natural Stone Tiles - This includes products such as marble, travertine, limestone and slate.  It should be remembered that natural stone products are exactly that - natural.  This means that no two tiles will look the same, but this adds to the natural beauty and character of the finished tiled area.  All natural stone products will need to be sealed once they are laid as they are more porous than manufactured products.  Our sales team will be happy to assist you with further information.
